The CPBC Fishing Club has gone from strength to strength over the years with present membership exceeding 60 members plus our junior anglers. The Club encourages and supports junior angling throughout the Sunshine Coast by conducting an annual "Take a Kid Fishing Day" and a "Schoolfish Education Program" with the Golden Beach School.
Club competitions are contested on a monthly basis for offshore and estuary divisions. Annual bream, whiting and team specific competitions are also included on the fishing program.
The Fishing Club successfully hosted the 2010 and 2012 Queensland Amateur Fishing Club Association (QAFCA) State Fishing Titles with the Caloundra Power Boat Club utilised as the convention headquarters. In August 2013, the Fishing Club was rewarded for these efforts by hosting the National AAA (Australian Anglers Association) Fishing Titles and Convention.
